Gender: Male DOB: Approx. July 08 Reason For Arrival: Abandoned
Ramona and Foster are exceptionally friendly and loving even after being discarded by their previous owner(s), they are trusting and gentle. Ramona is a black and orange swirled female cat while Foster is a beautiful longer haired male black cat. They are believed to be around 5 1/2 months old. They are very bonded and would love to go to a new home together but are willing to be split up if it means finding their new animal guardian. Both are UTD on vaccinations and will be altered before leaving the program. |
Buffin
Breed: Domestic Short Hair DOB: Approx. 4 &1/2 Months (Nov 15, 2009) Reason for Surrender: There is Never A Reason to Put Animals in a Garbage CanHello we are Tuckeroo (black/white), Redkin (red tabby) and Buffin (buff tabby), we are all brothers. We came to visit at Gregory's after being fostered by a nice couple of older women who took us in after we were found, only 3 days old, in a dumpster. We were left there by someone to die, but we were saved thanks to people who care enough to help those "who speak another language". We are now 18 weeks old (March 15,2010) and are looking to find our new furever homes. I don't have to tell you how playful we are, we just love hanging out all day eating and playing and sleeping and eating and playing and sleeping again, it just seems to repeat all day. Hey don't get us wrong, we are not complaining, we have it made here at GGOH, we get lots of attention, nice warm blankies and beds and lots of good eats. It will be hard to leave here but they say its okay. They really like having us here and will miss us when were gone but their goal is to find us that wonderful new furever home we deserve. We are up to date on our vaccinations.
Sassy
Breed: Short Hair Domestic DOB: 9/09 Reason for Surrender: Stray mother who gave birth to Sassy and her siblings
Sassy and her siblings, Barney and Bailey, came to Gregory's via a concerned citizen who was willing to help a stray have her babies and nurse them all until the babies were ready to be put up for adoption. Unfortunately the mother did not survive after birth and the babies were left on their own. Sassy, Bailey and Barney were nursed by the concerned citizen until they were about 8 weeks old at which time they came to Gregory's for help. Barney was immediately adopted and Bailey soon after. Sassy remains waiting for her new furever home. Sassy is very sweet and loves to be cuddled, she likes all the other cats that she lives with but longs for a home of her own. Sassy is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed.
Tom Kat
Breed: Maine Coon DOB: Approx 1 year Reason for Surrender: Left in a box on the front door of GGOH in the freezing cold
Tom Kat was found outside the GGOH front door in a box with a board placed over the top to keep him in until he was found. There was a not enclosed in the box, "I am old, I am not neutered, I don't have any shots and I am sick, we can not keep him any longer we can not afford to take care of him". Tom was brought immediately into the building and looked over. He was a little cold but was so very friendly. Tom was taken to the vet for a checkup to find out exactly what may be wrong with him. Upon close examination by Dr. Keller it was determined that Tom Kat was not old, he was around 1 years old, he was not sick, his tests showed no illness, he however was not neutered so his vaccinations were given and he was altered before returning to GGOH to make his new temporary home. This is simply another case of "disposal". Why Tom's owners thought it was okay to drop off a pet on someones door step is the question we have. If money was tight, do you think others can pay for your pet with out any concern, you cared enough to drop him off on a doorstep but not enough to make sure he was okay. What if we hadn't found him in the cold? What if his box tipped over and he ran and he got hit by a car or froze to death trying to survive? Why lie about his age & health to the people who you expected to care for him. Tom Kat is much better off now, he is with a new family already and is being loved and cared for, something that he deserved from his first owners but did not get.
 Izzy
Breed: Domestic Short Hair DOB: Approx. 11/08 Reason for Surrender: Dropped off on GGOH Property in the cold
Izzy found her way into the GGOH facility through the front door after being dropped off on the property and hanging out in the cold. By the time she came into the building she had suffered frostbite on both of her ears. She consequently lost the majority of her ears over the next couple weeks. Izzy was treated at Countryside Veterinary Clinic for frostbite and dehydration before returning to her new temporary home at GGOH. Izzy, weighing only 5lbs, is a sweet gentle soul. She despite her trauma is very friendly and cuddly. She warmed up quickly to her furry feline friends in the cat room when she was strong enough and even made a couple special friends. Izzy was in need of a special family who would understand her needs with her partial ear loss on both ears. That special someone came in the form of a volunteer carpenter worker for GGOH. While working one day at the facility he noticed Izzy and felt he wanted to help her find a home, he spoke to his wife and next thing you know they had filled out an application, were approved and Izzy was on her way to her new special home. Izzy has settled in now and is doing well with her new family which includes another feline friend.
Gus Gus
FOSTER/FUREVER HOME NEEDED Breed: Domestic Medium Hair DOB: Approx. 1 - 3 years old Reason for Surrender: Stray
Hello My name is Gus Gus, I am around 1-3 years old. I am looking for a foster home or a forever home. I am neutered and up to date on all of my vaccinations. I am litter box trained.
I love laying on my scratch pad as you can see in my pictures, I am very food motivated and for fun I love to attach my self to the back of your slippers while you are walking and be pulled around.
I don't like being kenneled at all. I don't like my nails being trimmed and I will fight you the whole way.
I would prefer someone that will be around and not gone all the time because I do like to be around people once we earn each others trust. I sometimes get over stimulated from being petted and may nip to let you know it is enough. I am very friendly and would make someone a really great friend. I like other cats but do prefer dogs over cats if given the choice.
Tuckeroo
Breed: Domestic Short Hair DOB: Approx. 4 &1/2 Months (Nov 15, 2009) Reason for Surrender: There is Never A Reason to Put Animals in a Garbage Can.

Lola Lola is a beautiful female black domestic short hair cat. Lola is about 1 1/2 years old. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is spayed. She is a very friendly and loving cat. Lola came to Gregory's after being found as a stray by a family. She first stayed with the family as it was believed she may be pregnant and the family agreed to keep her until the kittens were born and ready to then come to Gregory's for placements. After a bit it was then discovered that Lola was indeed NOT pregnant and she was then surrendered to GGOH in hopes of finding her a new "fur ever" home. Lola is currently hanging out with her new friends in the cat room at GGOH but would sure love to come to your house to play. Jackie
Gender: Female DOB: Approx. 1 - 1 1/2 years old
Hi my name is Jackie, I have been seen wandering on the Mally's Sunshine Kennels property for sometime now. I finally got up enough courage to go see the staff at Gregory's, they let me in to the program and are keeping me warm, giving me a great bed and place to hang out.
I am UTD on all of my vaccinations and I have been spayed. I would love to have a new furever home so if you think you could find it in your heart to provide that for me please come visit, I will show you my loving personality. |
Panda & Milky
Hi we are new to Gregory's Gift of Hope. Our mom, Keegan, has been here visiting for a while, good thing as we came along pretty quickly upon her arrival to the program. We are 5 weeks old (now, about 6 months old) and are becoming very energetic. We love to play with each other but we are also getting to know everyone else who lives in the cat room with us. It's a pretty neat place but we would sure like to know we will be getting to go to new homes in a few more weeks. We should be ready for you to take home after August 7th. We will surely miss our mom but she wants what is best for us and we all know that would be a new loving "furever" home. If you think we are cute, and how could you not?, then come on down and meet us. We will be of course playing and checking things out but we will always take a break to meet new friends. Call us for a play date @715-245-2467.
SADIE
Hello, we are siblings who are now about 12 1/2 weeks old. We are just hanging out at Gregory's until we are ready for the real world. We are very energetic, mischievous and oh how we love to play. We were found by a nice young lady in Somerset who took us under her wing and contacted Gregory's for some assistance. We were very lucky they made room for us as we are not sure what would have become of us. If you think you have room in your heart for a new 4 legged friend just call for directions to our place.

SUMMER and Her BABIES (Zephyr, Bianca & June)

Hi, my name is Summer and these are my sweet babies, Zephyr, Bianca and June. We were brought to Gregory's after our owner could not keep us any longer due to allergies. I was the first to arrive last winter. When I was taken in from the cold as a stray the new owner did not know I was going to have my sweet babies. So to her surprise I had 3 beautiful little kittens. Unfortunately this added to the allergy problem so here we are. Why not come on down and meet me and my darlings. We are very lovable and love to cuddle. I am about 1 1/2 years old and my babies are around 4 months. We are up to date on all of our shots and we are awaiting new "furever" homes. We will be waiting patiently for you to visit. Call GGOH for more information @246-2467.
Snuggles
Hi, my name is Snuggles -- Adam and Colleen call me Squeak; no worry I come running to either name. I am a very very loving & friendly little guy. I weigh only about 6 1/2 lbs, I am bout 8 months old, I am neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. I was adopted out a couple months back and had a great home but I then developed seizures and it was just to much for my new mom. I am know back with my pals at GGOH and I am doing fine. I do however need a home where the people understand my condition. I don't have to take any medications yet, they are just watching me very closely to see how my seizures progress over time. It isn't so bad, I get a little scared but I am okay after a bit and I would be especially okay if I have someone who can just be there for me. I am "cute s a bug", anyway that's what Karen says, she is fostering me why GGOH tries to find me that special someone for a special feline. If you'd like to meet me give us a call, I am always available to chat, "meow".

Darby
Breed: Domestic Short Hair DOB: Approx. May 2009 Reason for Arrival: Found in a backyard in desperate need of medical attention
Hi my name is Darby. I was found by a concerned citizen who contacted GGOH for assistance. I was very badly hurt. No one is sure what happened to me but it appeared like another animal may have got a hold of me. When I was brought in my eyes were very swollen and bloody. One was almost out of my eye socket. I was transferred to New Richmond Vet Clinic for emergency care where it was determined I would lose my eye. I have since had my surgery and I have recovered after very special care from a very special vet technician. Tracy, who so graciously took me home to do my post surgery cares, is the best. I am a very friendly, kitten who I have to admit, is set in my own ways. I am doubly lucky it seems, first I was taken in by a group that cared enough to get me the help I needed and then I found a very special someone to help me with my recovery. Oh wait, I guess its triply lucky, I then got to be adopted by my foster mom cause we both found special places in our hearts for one another, could there be a better ending to a rescue story?
Carly Austin
Breed: Orange Tabby DOB: 12 weeks (8/10/09) Reason for Surrender: Found Wandering
Carly Austin is a beautiful little girl. She is so friendly and affectionate that when we found her wandering we thought she had to be someones. While at a family reunion Carly came wandering up to the kids to be petted. She was so cute they grabbed her up and started playing with her and feeding her. We then took a walk around the neighborhood to track down her family. No one knew of her and we were even met with "I don't know whose she is and as far as I am concerned you can keep her". Carly was left alone. Of course she picked the right party to come to with GGOH rescuers sitting there. Carly was quickly scooped up and taken to the hotel to hangig out with us for the night before returning to GGOH. Carly was taken to the vet for a checkup at which time we discovered she had a feline leukemia test done and it returned a slightly positive diagnosis. Carly, due to her age, may be able to fight this and it may be negative next time around. If not she can live a very promising life with the proper care. She would need to go to a home where she would be the only cat. Carly is so so sweet, she loves to snuggle and she just melts in your arms and purrs when picked up. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations. If you think you have room in your heart for this little sweetheart come on down and meet her. Carly is in foster care due to her diagnosis so please call ahead to schedule a visit.

 Muffin
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair DOB: Approx. 7 weeks(07/09/09) Reason fro Surrender: Found wandering
Muffin is a tiny little kitten who was found wandering around all alone. He is very affectionate and loves to be held and to play. He is white and gray and black in colors with slightly longer fur. He is in need of a new furever home where he will be loved and kept safe. Muffin is p to date on vaccinations and is just now awaiting that special someone to come sweep him off his paws.

Elliot
Elliot was left behind by his family. This is such a sad situation. How can you love and cherish your pet one moment then just drive off and leave that same pet behind? We are seeing this way to often. When you take on a pet it is for better or worse you have a responsibility to the defenseless animal. Elliot waited for 3 weeks for his owners to come back, how sad to just be put out like this weeks garbage. GGOH received a call from a concerned neighbor after watching Elliot hanging out by the house with no food or water and waiting patiently for something that was never going to happen, his owners to come back for him. If you would like to give Elliot the life he deserves please come on out and meet him. He is a great big teddy bear. Elliot weighs over 15 lbs and is very handsome. He is declawed(front), neutered and is now up to date on his vaccinations. We are hoping Elliot will get a new furever home where he will be loved for the rest of his life and he will see that not everyone is like his previous owners who just up and left him with no where to turn. Elliot says "hope to see you soon".
Alex
Breed: Brown Tabby Age: Approx. 12-18 months Reason for Surrender: Starving Stray
Alex is a very friendly, sweet cat who came to Gregory's via a concerned citizen. Alex was found wandering on their property and it was apparent he had been looking for food and was quite thin. He has since fattened up enjoying meals with his new found friends at the GGOH cat house. Alex gets along well with his 20 plus housemates and has also been introduced to some dogs and has shown no fear of the "other" four legged friends. Alex is up to date on all of his vaccinations and will be neutered before leaving the program. If you think you could find it in your heart to give Alex a new furever home come on out and visit. Alex loves to cuddle and just hangout. He is always happy to see people and usually comes to greet our guests.

 Grady
DOB: Approx. 18-24 months Breed: Domestic Short hair Reason for Arrival: abandoned/Stray
Grady is a gray domestic short hair. I am really, really soft and cuddly. I was brought to Gregory’s by some concerned people in the community. When I arrived they thought maybe I had been hit by a car or something as I was not using my left front paw. Turns out it was an old injury that already heeled so there wasn’t much that nice Dr. Austin could do for me in that regard, but he did save me from a lot of pain as someone had placed a rubber band around my testicles. This is a home remedy for neutering that I and Gregory’s DO NOT RECOMMEND, nor do we UNDERSTAND why anyone would do this to me or any animal. I was neutered properly and received my vaccinations while I was visiting Dr. Austin’s office (Thanks guys for taking such good care of me). I am about 1-2 years old. I may only be a three-legged cat; but believe me, I have no trouble getting around. I like other cats and I really like people. If you think you can look past my disability (that’s what they say, I don’t believe I am disabled), then come on down and visit with me and see if I could fit into your family. I am full of love and affection for somebody out there.

KIKI
Breed: Brown Tabby mix Age: 4 years Reason for Surrender: Owners health problems
KiKi is a very lovely young gal. She is very friendly, a little shy at first as she is new to all of us, but in only a couple days she has already warmed up. KiKi is up to date on all vaccinations, she is spayed and is declawed (front and back). KiKi has been around a small dog but no other cats until arriving to the program. Although she is a little timid around the others, this is due to her lack of claws and her fear of not being able to defend herself if it was needed, she has not been bothered by their curiosity. KiKi is a brown tabby mix with white. She is a larger cat, weighing in at 14.8 lbs and she is short haired. If you would like to come out and visit KiKi and all of her new friends just give us a call at 715-246-2467.
Lily and Daisey

Hello we are 2 new strays in need of help from our friends at Gregory's. We have been staying with a nice family in town since they took us in from the cold but we would sure like to find new "furever" homes. We are both very friendly and lovable. We like people and are very happy someone was able to take us in. Lily, gray short haired domestic and Daisey, white with a little coloring on her head, are just 2 more victims of the never ending story of cats being just left behind (Daisey is declawed and spayed so she most likely got left behind by some family) and cats just being ignored as strays who continue to produce more and more strays. Both will be up to date on vaccinations and Lily will be spayed by the program before going to their new homes. If you think you could provide a safe, loving "furever" home for one of these beautiful cats please contact us at 715-246-2467.
Bounce
Hello we are 2 siblings that were found wandering on a county road. Two young girls saw us and picked us up and brought us to Gregory's. Thanks to them we had a nice warm bed for the night. We were welcomed here at Gregory's and taken to the vet right away so we could get rid of our ear mites and were able to get some of our shots so we will be healthy and ready for new homes. We are very small and are full of energy. We love to cuddle and we purr real loud. I am Snuggles, black, male and I am Bounce, female, white with a little orange on me. We are just about 8 weeks old. We would like to find new furever homes so if you are interested we will be waiting at the rescue program. Anytime you are able, come on down!

O'MALLY, MERCEDES, VICTORIA CREAM PUFF Hello, we are siblings who are now about 12 1/2 weeks old. We are just hanging out at Gregory's until we are ready for the real world. We are very energetic, mischievous and oh how we love to play. We were found by a nice young lady in Somerset who took us under her wing and contacted Gregory's for some assistance. Hi my name is Penelope, I am female, declawed, spayed and UTD on all of my vaccinations. I am one of the sweetest cats to come through the program,at least that's what the guys at GGOH tell me. Casey
Casey is a male domestic long hair feline. He is 13 years old and is just beautiful. Casey was surrendered by his owner due to her medical condition. It was so hard for Casey and his owner to part but she wanted GGOH to try and find him a new owner who would love him as much as she has for his 13years and keep him safe and happy for the remainder of his life. Casey is very shy but once you get to know him and he knows you he is very friendly. He loves to have his beautiful fur brushed and just be petted. He will take a while to come around when he finds his new "furever" home as this separation is very traumatic after 13 years. He needs a very patient and loving new owner who will understand him. Casey is neutered, declawed and up to date on all vaccinations. If you think you could give Casey the home and love he will need to get him through this difficult transition please call us at 715-246-2467.
 Raisin
Gender: Male Breed: Domestic Short Hair DOB: 6/19/01
Raisin came to Gregory's due to some issues at his previous home. Raisin was unable to get out around the house so he has a bit of a weight problem. Since being surrendered Raisin has been seen by the vet and is now beginning his weight reduction plan. Raisin is a sweet fat cat who is very friendly and loves to be cuddled. He is okay with other cats once he gets to know them. Due to an incident where Raisin was attacked and seriously injured by a dog, he is very leery of dogs. Raisin would do best in a cat environment where he could roam freely without the worry of a family dog encounter. Raisin will need someone who can assist him with his weight management and love him for who he is. If you would be interested in Raisin please call us at 715-246-2467.

Kevin (alias) Schmidty
Gender: Male DOB: Approx. November 2007 Reason for : Stray
Schmidty came to Gregory's just a little over 2 weeks ago. He was very frightened after being caught by a woman and brought into the program. He had been out in the cold spell we had and lost part of one ear to frostbite. He is turning out to be a sweet little boy. Each day he gets more friendly and is coming out of his shell. He is available for someone who will have a little patience with him and show him love as he hasn't had a very good start in life. If you think you would like to give Schmidty a new home call us at 715-246-2467.

SPUNKY
Gender: Male DOB: Approx. - Early Spring 2006 Long Hair Domestic Reason for Arrival: Feral Cat
Spunky came to GGOH by way of a very caring woman. Spunky was taken in by this guardian angel but due to some issues with his health at the time and his coming in from an outside situation it just wasn't possible to keep Spunky at her home. She was still so concerned with Spunky and his being taken care of she contacted us here at GGOH at which time we gladly assisted her and Spunky. Spunky came in with some matted fur and some bowel issues from living in the elements but has come full circle and is just what his name says, a spunky big cat. He enjoys lounging in the cat room and likes to be petted and yes even brushed, if you are careful . He is a very loving cat and would make someone a faithful friend and companion. If you think you would be interested in Spunky please call us at 246-2467.
Note: The guardian angel who brought us Spunky has since adopted 2 of our other rescue cats, Roo and her son Tigger. They are doing so well and are being looked after by their new angel. Thank you Ingrid!

 Davey
Hello, my name is Davey. Davey was found in Hudson, around the Third Street area this winter. This is a heart breaking situation, of an abandoned cat, who was named Davey by the young lady who found him. He was found in her driveway almost unresponsive and very cold. he had been badly attacked by oneor more ferrell cats in the neighborhood. His wounds were all around his spine from the back of his neck to the base of his tail making it impossible for him to ever defend himself. She had met him before because he would come running up when she would come home or if she was outside with her dog. So knowing that he was a friendly soul, she took him inside, no questions asked. All the while all he did was purr and show his thanks.
He has made much progress from the immobile state that he was found in.The young lady approached many shelters in the area, and as usual, due to NO COUNTY CONCERN, cats are just disregarded. Davey’s personality and temperament are just amazing and he is just so happy to be here. If he could tell his life story, I have a good feeling that it would affect many of us animal lovers. Davey’s guardian reached out to Gregory’s, “I don’t want to make it your organizations obligation but if you could just consider Davey it would give Davey a second chance at his dream of a long, full, happy life.” Davey was accepted immediately into the program and Davey has responded to all of his medications and all of his injuries are healed. He is a small bundle of joy who wants nothing but to snuggle and be with you. He is truly an amazing cat who has lots of love left to give that special someone.
Call us if you think you can be Davey’s new guardian. 715-246-2467

She has beautiful colorings and would make a wonderful addition to someones family.
