For Those Who Speak Another Language
Our "Spotlight Pets" are truly worthy of their time in the limelight. They are each marvelous in their own, unique ways. We love them; YOU'LL love them! So without further ado, we bring you our Spotlight Pets...
Max
Max came to GGOH after being contacted by a local vet who was treating him as a surrendered cat - he had a fracture sustained after being hit by a car. Max's injuries were fairly severe and although he has healed and is doing very, very well, he will need to be on joint medication for the remainder of his life to help ease any pain that may surface down the road. Max is a big boy, larger than your average cat, but it doesn't slow him down nor do his mended fractures. He is one big cuddle bug! Max does well with other cats, and in fact, loves to groom them. This big boy can get a bit rambunctious so we are recommending no young children. If you're looking for a big, sweet, handsome, older boy, Max may just be the one for you! Max's DOB is 1/2007.
Bernie
Bernie is one very happy go lucky dog; always on the ready for play time. His energetic nature keeps him running at about 55lbs. Bernie was brought to GGOH with his brother Mac when we were approached by another rescue to save them from death row. Bernie needs an active adopter, a walker/runner perhaps, as he needs to be exercised daily; also someone who likes the lab type personality, i.e. lots of energy and lots of love. Because of Bernie's high energy, we recommend older children only. He does fine with cats and would do okay with other dogs with slow introductions. Bernie's DOB is 5/2012.
